We tend your boat while you’re away
We are Randy and Thressa, longtime liveaboards and cruisers. We sailed from NYC to South America and spent 6 years living aboard and working in boat retail or as a boat captain in the Caribbean. Thressa held a USCG 100-ton near coastal license and Randy has taken apart and fixed numerous sailboats over the years. We know firsthand the anxiety of leaving your boat, even for a week. We started our boat minding business to ease that anxiety. We are currently based in Blaine Harbor and are tending sailing and motor vessels of all sizes in Blaine and Bellingham, Washington. Schedule as many or few weekly service calls as you need!
Our Services
For $75/month (or $20/week), we secure all aspects of the boat’s exterior every week, including, the condition & placement of (1) fenders and dock lines, (2) canvas & sails, and (3) companionways, doors, hatches, & ports. We let you know if pests (including birds!) have moved aboard. We email pictures of the boat and any issues we think should be addressed.
For $95/mo (or $25/week), this service incudes the Stevedore exterior service plus weekly interior inspection of the bilge, bilge pump, engine room, shore power connection, batteries, pest intrusion, and cushions propped up & lockers open for ventilation.
For $115/mo (or $30/week), this service includes Bowline service plus weekly systems operations, including running the generator, engine, heater, and any other system you want inspected. We request a detailed description, either written or a video, of how to start the engine or other systems.
